Clio experiences rapid growth in 2010, expects similar 2011

Themis Solutions Inc., developers of the Clio practice management software, has experienced record growth with five times top line growth in 2010 and another five times is anticipated in 2011.

The company, which was launched in 2008 by co-founders Jack Newton and Rian Gauvreau, has recently expanded its sales and marketing efforts and have hired David Charron, former VP of business development for Canpages Inc. as its new VP of sales and marketing effective November 2010. Themis has set up its new HQ operations in Burnaby and is quickly growing out the sales and marketing organization to meet the needs of its rapidly growing client base. The company's user base is in the thousands with double digit monthly compounded growth.

Themis has won major awards in the legal community for its software, including Best in Show at that American Bar Association TechShow two years running, and just this past week won an award for Best Legal Technology Blog in Canada for the Clio Blog, which Jack Newton pens every week.

Rumours have it they are in a hiring mode and based on the addressable market of the segment they are in, their growth can easily keep going unabated for several years if they keep firing on all cylinders like they have been in the last two.

The company has released more than 50 updates of its software in the last year with innovative new features. This past quarter, Themis announced it had successfully integrated its software with Google Apps, making Clio the only legal software that is available in the Google Apps Marketplace. At $49 per month access fee for lawyers, it has made its mark by offering full practice management software and has been turning the heads of many of its much bigger competitors within the legal software segment.
