What does a company that was bought out for $500 million by Disney do for an encore? For Club Penguin, it's getting nominated for a Silicon Vineyard Innovation Award, an initiative from the Okanagan Science and Technology Council (OSTEC) to recognize innovative individuals and companies in B.C.'s Southern Interior. Club Penguin (also known as New Horizon Interactive) has been nominated in the "Innovative Organization of the Year" category. The award ceremony is slated for March 13th at the Coast Capri Hotel in Kelowna. Last year's event featured Silicon Valley venture capitalist and Macintosh pioneer Guy Kawasaki as a guest speaker.
