Comic book about Facebook is launching – and there may be an animated movie based on it too
A comic book about Mark Zuckerberg and his social network, Facebook, is perhaps a little odd.
But how about a movie based on the comic book—an animated one, no less.
Indeed, Bluewater Productions has published "Mark Zuckerberg: Creator of Facebook," a comic book hitting shelves at year's end for $7. And Hayden 5 Media, a New York film company, announced recently that it plans to turn the upcoming comic book into a movie.
The movie will feature the neat effect of drawn animations over live-action performances, rarely seen in mainstream films but typically well-received.
In a statement, executive producer Milos Silber noted a couple good points: “This will not be the last retelling of the Marc Zuckerberg story. We’re just aware of the profound impact of Facebook, and with over 500 million users, we’re bound to have an audience."
