ComScore's Top Startups in Canada - February 2009

Posted by Rob Lewis on Mon, February 9, 2009 7:45 AM · Filed under Calgary, Edmonton, Montréal, Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver, Victoria, Kitchener-Waterloo , Research & Infographics · Comments

As a follow-up to our February 2009 Canada Startup index on Friday, comScore has provided us with their take on the top contenders.

In the above chart, the Online % Reach is the percentage of Canadians online that each entity reaches. As an example, Metrolyrics reached an astounding 10% of all Canadians during December 2008 - hard to believe searching for music lyrics is that popular.

Since this data is for December, it's not a surprise that RedFlagDeals had a strong month increasing from 3.0% to 4.9% as online shoppers looked for holiday and Boxing Day sales. Clubzone & Clubvibes also had improved months most likely due to their heavy focus on promoting New Years Eve events.

Thanks again to comScore for sharing this valuable data with Techvibes.
