Today on Seattle's TechFlash there was a definite iPhone theme and Editor John Cook filed the following stories:
Seattle Attorney Michael Schneider quit his corporate gig at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati last month to develop iPhone apps full-time. Prior to leaving the law firm Schneider developer 13 iPhone apps in his sparetime - now he's operating a new startup called HiveBrain. Look out for his instructional dog training app soon.
Local startup Exbiblio has spent the past several years developing a device that can capture a string of words on a printed page and find the corresponding text on the internet. Now they're embarking on a new mobile strategy. Exbiblio is working on applications for the iPhone and Android smartphones that would allow users to hold their phones over printed words and get linked to the corresponding digital article or website. Very cool.
Seattle area startup Innerfence is getting exposure in an iPhone commercial titled "Office". Innerfence's Credit Card Terminal application is the first of three products featured in the ad.
