CP24 launches traffic app to help Toronto drivers

Posted by Techvibes NewsDesk

Just in time to get out of the city for the holiday weekend and back to school next week, the CP24 Traffic App is now available the iPhone and Android phones.

The traffic app utilizes technology that passively and anonymously sends users’ location information to a main server, which allows CP24 to advise other users of traffic ahead. As well, users can participate by using the hands-free technology to leave a voicemail regarding real-time road conditions with CP24’s Traffic Reporting Center.

“Traffic can make or break your day,” said Joanne MacDonald, Vice-President, CTV News and General Manager, CP24. “CP24 works hard to deliver info that gets people out the door better, faster with as little headache as possible – and this App will really help with that goal.”
