Daily Deal Sites Come Under Fire for Fake Merchandise

Posted by Techvibes NewsDesk

Yesterday daily deal industry pundit Albert S. Bitton told the story of an unfortunate situation where a famous brand was promoted on two Canadian daily deal sites only to have their customers find out that they were buying counterfeit product.

Ethical Deal and Dealticker both ran promotions for knock-off TOMs shoes.

Lynda Steele of CTV's Steele on Your Side explains what transpired in the case of this daily deal knock-off story.
