Darren Barefoot proves it's all about the music with DearRockers

Vancouver blogger and online marketing expert Darren Barefoot (currently in Malta) has come up with a solution to the dilemma of how to pay musicians once you download their songs. DearRockers.org is a gathering point for people to find the mailing address of their favorite musician, write a traditional letter along with five dollars, and then scan the letter for all to see. The artist gets a (small) payment, and the music fans get to share their good deed with the world.

Barefoot explains in the Rarely Asked Questions (RAQ) section of the site that the site was inspired by online showcase Post Secret, along with his desire to give something back to artists whose songs he's downloaded over the years.

Thanks for the linkage, despite my current Maltese address.
