DemoCamp and Startup Drinks... together at last!

Make time tomorrow for some networking and socializing when two great Toronto startup traditions, DemoCamp and Startup Drinks, join forces for a great evening with Toronto’s tech community.

Tomorrow’s DemoCamp 28 is looking to be a good one. The man of the hour will be Mark Ruddock [pictured], serial entrepreneur and the man responsible for Viigo, which was acquired by RIM last year. He’ll be giving a presentation called “Important Lessons learned after 10 Years of being at the helm of VC backed Startups,” which will explore Ruddock’s experiences founding, developing and managing startups. In addition to Ruddock’s appearance, five pre-selected startups will demo their products for attendees.

Normally a Wednesday meet-up at the end of each month, Startup Drinks moved the February edition to Tuesday in the hopes of getting the DemoCamp crowd to attend. Startup Drinks, for the uninitiated, is an informal way to get to meet entrepreneurs and share knowledge without structured events and presentations to break up the mingling.

DemoCamp 28 starts at 6:30 p.m. tomorrow, and ends at 9 p.m., when Startup Drinks begins. For more information or to register, visit each event’s respective website.
