Did Apple apologize?

Maybe I missed it but did anyone hear Jesus Steve Jobs say "Sorry, we screwed i4up!"  I'm not the biggest fan of Apple but I do admire Steve and his company.  They create products that people seem to love and their fans love Steve and Apple back.

So my question(s) to those who have purchased an iPhone 4:  Is a free case and an option for a full refund enough?  What if you "locked" yourself into a plan? (I understand the iPhone is not yet available in Canada but I know a bunch of you went to Buffalo or some other border town...)

And now that the iPhone is coming to Canada by the end of the month, are you going to go out and buy one?  Or will you wait for Consumer Reports to tell you when it's okay?
