Digital Zone to give small businesses insight into new media at Enterprise Toronto's 10th Small Business Forum
On October 19th, more than 2,000 entrepreneurs, freelancers and small business owners will attend Enterprise Toronto's 10th annual Small Business Forum.
And this year Enterprise Toronto is promising to spice things up.
One of the new twists this year is the introduction of the Digital Zone.
The Digital Zone
One of the first things people attendees will notice is that there will be a live social media feed will be powered by ScribbleLive, a Toronto-based content delivery platform for the news industry and one of Rogers' Ventures first investments.
This "backchannel" is designed for mainstream small business owners who may have little or no social media, mobile or e-commerce experience.
The goal is to enable small business owners to try out new technologies and better understand how new technology can help find, serve and retain customers and operate more efficiently. The decision to introduce the social media theme and backchannel to our conference was the result of demand from Enterprise Toronto clients -- local business owners are keen to learn about new, low cost channels for marketing, selling and operating their businesses.
Here is a list of participants in the Digital Zone:
- Rogers
- Yellow Pages Group
- TD Canada Trust
- Constant Contact
- Sprouter, and
- Ryerson students involved in Ryerson's Digital Media Zone will assist Forum attendees as well as demonstrate new apps' currently under development.
Tickets and space is still available so make sure to register at Enterprise Toronto.
