Ekomini launches Web-enabled Piggy Bank

Montreal's Ekomini Inc. launched the world's first, web-enabled coin-saver and financial education web platform for children today.

Ekomini is a web-enabled Piggy Bank that connects to a computer and the Internet. Children deposit their money into the Piggy Bank and can see the amount deposited as well as how much they've accumulated on a secure, game-based, educational website called Ekominiville. Through computer games and interactive storytelling, kids learn about earning and saving spending, sharing and investing.

The Ekomini coin-saver will be available in major retail stores in time for the Christmas shopping season and can be pre-ordered online.
