EventMobi Acquires Toronto Startup Understoodit

Posted by Techvibes NewsDesk

EventMobi has acquired a fellow Toronto-based startup, Understoodit.

Understoodit provides a tool that allows educators to determine the comprehension level of their students. EventMobi, a bootstrapped company, will use Understoodit’s experience with live polling and web-based audience response technology to "further enhance EventMobi’s offering for speakers and event planners in the event industry."

“We are excited to welcome the passionate and talented team of Understoodit to EventMobi as we continue to add value for our clients by building products and services that improve engagement and education for attendees," says Bob Vaez, EventMobi CEO.

Understoodit was founded by Liam Kaufman. “We’ve enjoyed providing a product that educators can use to enhance their students’ experience," he says. "It’s a thrill to bring our knowledge and expertise to EventMobi where engaging education is at the core of the product."

As a part of the acquisition, EventMobi will be donating to the Upside Foundation, which supports Canadian charities through partnerships with startups and high-growth companies.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
