Facebook Launches Slingshot App in Canada

Last week Facebook launched a Snapchat competitor in the US.

The free mobile messenger app was this week launched in Canada.

The app, available for Apple's iOS 7 and newer Android operating systems, lets you share moments with friends, a "a new kind of feed where everyone is a creator."

The key here is that friends won’t be able to see your
"shot" in their feed until they "sling" something to you. Because everyone participates on Slingshot, "there ends up being way less pressure and way more creativity," says Facebook.

Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Facebook's mission is to give people the power to share and make the world more open and connected. Millions of people use Facebook everyday to keep up with friends, upload an unlimited number of photos, share links and videos, and learn more about the people they meet. more
