Facebook Opening Office in Vancouver This May to Train Software Engineers

Posted by Techvibes NewsDesk

Facebook is setting up an office in Vancouver.

The world's largest social network is recruiting up to 150 staff, mostly software engineers, to fill the office, which is slated to open in May. The office is currently being deemed as temporary (one year), but some locals suggest there is a chance the office may become permanent.

According to Facebook, the office will serve as a training ground for recent software engineering graduates seeking full-time employment within the company

Facebook chose Vancouver because of its proximity to its Silicon Valley headquarters as well as Seattle, where the company runs an engineering office.
