Facebook Places now available for Blackberrys

facebook for blackberryIntegrating with Blackberry GPS and Maps app technology, Facebook's Places app is now available for Research in Motion's line of smartphones.

It's available in the BlackBerry App World. The app is maintained by RIM, unlike its Facebook and Android counterparts, which are managed by Facebook.

Unfortunately, even though RIM is a Canadian company and Places is aiming for global reach, Facebook Places for Blackberry is restricted to the U.S. The app also lacks Facebook Deals.
