Family buys BC's first Nissan Leaf as 100% electric car drives into Vancouver this month

by Techvibes NewsDesk

A Vancouver family has ordered a Leaf, Nissan's brand new 100% electric car, making it the first consumer delivery in the province.

Named the 2011 World Car of the Year, the Nissan Leaf is the world’s first mass-marketed, all-electric car for real-world driving. To prove its zero CO2 emissions, the vehicle simply doesn't have a tailpipe.

Classified as a medium-sized hatchback, the Leaf is powered by a lithium-ion battery.

Is the Leaf the future of consumer motor vehicles?
