First Ever Canadian Breast Cancer Hackathon Coming in June

A breast cancer hackathon is coming to Canada in June.

Lina’s Dream, Victory Square Labs, Launch Academy and Protohack are teaming up to bring together community leaders and change-markers for the first ever Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation Code-Free Hackathon for Innovation in Breast Cancer Awareness.

In an effort to encourage and forward innovation around breast cancer awareness, local leaders in the startup ecosystem, Launch Academy and Victory Square have formed a partnership with San Francisco-based ProtoHack to co-create a one-day code-free hackathon in Vancouver in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and Lina’s Dream.

The CBCF ProtoHack is a 12-hour competition where entrepreneurs, industry leaders, designers, and developers come together to connect, collaborate, and create solutions through code-free prototyping and pitching while gaining education and inspiration.

Winners will get the chance to win prizes worth over $15,000 in patent protection, design and branding services, co-working space, and development work.

What’s unique about this event format is that participants do not need any coding or programming experience.

Tickets are $10.
