Four tech companies make list of Canada's 15 most valuable brands
Brand Finance recently released new analysis of the world's top brands, including Canada's.
Of Canada's 15 most valuable brands, 4 of them are technology companies. No surprises here, and little changes from January. The Big Three telcos—Rogers, Telus, and Bell—made the list, as did BlackBerry.
Bell is ranked 6th, up from 8th in January. Rogers remained the same in 9th. BlackBerry dropped a dramatic 5 spots to 10th, the biggest leap (good or bad) of any brand in the list. Telus improved slightly, up 1 spot to 13th.
BlackBerry's brand value may be down, but its rating is AA+, above the Big Three, which each have an AA rating (Rogers lost its plus rating, while Bell and Telus didnt have it to begin with). However, BlackBerry's January rating was an AAA+, so it still deteriorated. In fact, BlackBerry was the only Canadian tech company in the top 15 with that rating in January. None have it now.
