Do you have a new technology with commercial potential and need a business plan? University of Toronto Mississauga is seeking entrepreneurs to participate in the development of a business plan as part of a class project.

At the end of 13 weeks, technology entrepreneurs will be provided with a business plan and the chance to interact with a dedicated team of graduate students who produce the plan for course credit. The plan will include the development of a defendable business model, the analysis of the market opportunity, budget financial projections and an outline implementation plan. Students from the Master of Biotechnology program will prepare the plans, which are then graded with the final documents, presented back to the entrepreneur.

To be eligible to participate, entrepreneurs must have a novel technology with commercial potential within the next two years. Entrepreneurs will be required to:

  • Provide a brief presentation (10min) to the class on a Monday evening – so that interested teams can select an opportunity of interest
  • Participate in 2-3 interactions with students, by email, phone or person
  • Attend the final business plan presentation

To apply, send a short description of your business na.fan@ric-centre.on.ca by August 31st.
