Front Desk Raises $4 Million Series A Round from Version One Ventures and Others

Front Desk has raised a Series A round.

The funding round, worth $4 million, was led by Floodgate, but included money from existing investor Version One Ventures, founded by Vancouver's Boris Wertz (Wertz is also an investor in Techvibes). As part of the investment Wertz will join the startup's board.

This round, combined with a $3.2 million seed round raised last autumn, will see the company—which offers mobile apps that allow small and medium businesses to track scheduling and workshops and handle online registration—expand its product portfolio, boost marketing, and hire more people.
