TechCrunch's Leena Rao was at PayPal's first dedicated developer conference PayPal Innovate X 2009 today and the big news is the applications being produced on top of PayPal's newly released API. PayPal has officially opened up its PayPal X platform to developers and is using the confernce to present a roadmap for its view of the future of payments.

At the conference, eBay's CEO John Donahoe said that PayPal is set to be bigger than eBay in the near future, forecasting the payment company's continued growth and dominance in the space.

Vancouver's very own FundRazr and their CEO Daryl Hatton was the first to showcase PayPal's new Adaptive Accounts Technology to a packed room at today's conference. Congrats to the FundRazr team!
