Fuse Powered Acquires Silicon Valley Startup
Mobile monetization company Fuse Powered has acquired Corona Labs, the maker of Corona SDK, a mobile app development platform based in Silicon Valley.
With this acquisition, Toronto-born Fuse adds a technology platform and engineering team along with the opportunity to deliver its IAP and ad monetization solution to Corona’s publisher community.
The acquisition also accelerates Fuse’s agenda of bringing its next generation of mobile monetization products to the market and significantly expands the company’s existing presence in San Francisco and Silicon Valley. The entire Corona team is joining Fuse and will continue to develop and support the Corona platform and products.

Last year AppHero was acquired by Fuse Powered. AppHero was founded in 2011 by then-17-year-old Jordan Satok with the goal of helping people discover great apps and games. In 2013 AppHero had raised a $1.8 million seed round lead by OMERS Ventures; Satok was the youngest Canadian entrepreneur to raise venture capital.
