Future Shop hosting World of Warcraft: Cataclysm release parties in Vancouver, Edmonton and Toronto

Nerds, rejoice! If you’re hoping to be among the first to get the new World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, Future Shop has you covered. Starting at 9 p.m. (local time) Future Shop locations in Vancouver, Edmonton and Toronto will be hosting WoW-themed parties to get everyone pumped for the midnight release of Cataclysm on Monday, December 6th.

There will be a trivia competition, dance-off, and a costume contest with a $1,500 grand prize, and other prizes for runners-up. Each store is offering the first 500 customers a choice from one of two Epic t-shirts by Jinx. Custom Cataclysm mousepads will be offered with purchase of the game while supplies last. As well, the first 30 customers will get a poster.

The three Future Shop locations hosting the parties (and their new WoW-inspired identities) are as follows:

  • Downtown Vancouver, "Kalimdor City of Orgrimmar" - 798 Granville St.
  • South Edmonton Common, "Northrend Battleground of Wintergrasp" - 1320 99th St.
  • Downtown Toronto, "Stalwart Alliance Stronghold of Stormwind" - 325 Yonge St.
