Future Shop Reopens Burned Down Store, Donates Money to Firefighters

In February, an accidental fire inflicted $500,000 worth of damage to a Future Shop store in Beauport, Quebec. The fire forced the store to shut down temporarily.

At the time, Future Shop estimated that the store would reopen in "one to two weeks." This didn't happen. It took until Friday, April 20, for the Beauport store to once again open its doors—nearly two months after the fire.

Founded in 1982 and headquartered just outside of Vancouver, Future Shop operates 149 locations across Canada.
