Get around downtown Toronto via SMS
Recently, the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) introduced text-messaged streetcar arrival times.
From the comfort of your own phone, you can now use one of the contact numbers assigned to every streetcar stop in the Toronto area to receive updated arrival information via SMS.
This metro-friendly mobile media is informing Torontonians thanks to LIPSO, a Montreal-based mobile solutions provider.
This is a welcomed addition to the TTC's growing arsenal of tech friendly initiatives. I'm just wondering why the TTC folks couldn't find a Toronto-based company to do this for them?
What say you?
