Vancouver's Canary Derby in Gastown is 10 days away and they need our support to raise funds in support of early cancer detection. The "Race to the Steamclock" takes place on Sunday September 21st and promises to a great family event for an important cause.

Techvibes sponsor Webnames.ca has run away with the fundraising challenge thanks to Team Captain (and COO) Cybele Negris singlehandely raising almost $6,000. We'll also be cheering for Yaletown neighbour & Techvibes sponsor FCV Technologies and the Leading Edge Tech Centre team which includes Techvibes partner BCTIA.

Check out the line-up of race teams now and put a donation down on your favorite local tech business. Food for thought: the Victoria race from earlier this summer raised $140,000 - surely Vancouver's Tech community can beat this!
