Getting IT Right: Fasken Martineau's IT litigation seminar

Posted by Knowlton Thomas on 2010-05-07 1:45:00 PM

Our reliance on computer systems and applications is steadily increasing. And while computers are designed to smoothen operations and enhance efficiency, more of them mean more complex IT contracts, tense relationships with IT suppliers, and inevitable disputes.

Regardless of a project's size or scope, careful planning, effective relationship management and efficient dispute resolution are crucial. Accurately specifying what is required in an IT contract is vital. Effectively managing the relationship with the provider or the client so that minor difficulties do not derail the project is vital. But how do you do this, and what do you do if it all goes wrong?

Fasken Martineau’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group and Technology and Intellectual Property Practice Group invite you to attend a free, interactive panel discussion that will address these questions. The panel will feature special guest Michel Belec, Vice President, Legal Services at TELUS and will cover topics from relationship management to liabilities and indemnities.

The seminar will be held on June 1st from 7:30 to 9:30am at Fasken Martineau at 550 Burrard Street. Registration and continental breakfast is from 7:30 to 8:00am, followed by the seminar presentation. Register before Wednesday, May 26th.
