Glam Media buys Toronto's BBS Media for $10+ Million

Glam Media has acquired Toronto-based BBS Media for a reported $10 - $20 Million according to Bloomberg Businessweek.

Glam Media is a provider of Internet-advertising services targeting women and with the purchase of BBS Media they will begin selling ads on behalf of Web publishers catering to Canadian women. The acquisition of BBS also gives Glam extended ties to the Toronto company’s publishing partners, including Forbes.com, Washington Post Digital, Women’s Health Magazine

Under the terms of the acquisition, BBS Media’s co-founders, Mark Boxer and Brian Fields, will serve as VPs of Glam Media Canada, handling publisher and brand-advertising sales, and continuing to operate BBS within Glam.

According to PaidContent's coverage on the news, Glam also plans on unveil a new Canadian site this summer. Glam.ca will present the company’s usual range of lifestyle categories including beauty, fashion, health and wellness, and sports.
