Haiifax-born GoInstant launched at TechCrunch Disrupt today in San Francisco.
GoInstant brings you, your customer and your product together within seconds, so you can focus on what's really important. For sales, GoInstant lets you put the prospect in front of your product faster than anything else. For Customer support, it means you can solve problems faster and make customers happier by turning a bad situation in to a positive one. GoInstant allows you to engage your customers on your website and inside your product, in real time.
GoInstant's “co-browsing” solution alleviates some of the quirks of Webex-style screen sharing, most notably the requirement that you download software or install a browser plug-in.
GoInstant was co-founded by Jevon MacDonald, Gavin Uhma, Kirk MacPhee, and Dave Kim. MacDonald is a co-founder of StartupNorth and was most recently an Entreprenuer in Residence at Innovacorp in Halifax.
GoInstant has raised $1.7 million in its first round of funding and investors include Reid Hoffman of Greylock Partners (co-founder of LinkedIn), Howard Lindzon of Social Leverage, Josh Felser and Dave Samual of Freestyle Capital, Steve Anderson of Baseline Ventures, Chamath Palihapitiya of Embarcadero Ventures, Patrick Keefe of Innovacorp, Boris Wertz of W Media Ventures, Ed Sim of BOLDstart Ventures, Yuri Milner, Matt Wyndowe, Jonas Brandon (a co-founder at StartupNorth) and Rypple's Daniel Debow.
Disclosure: Boris Wertz of W Media Ventures is also an investor in Techvibes Media Inc.
