GROW Conference Challenge Day includes Crabs and Kites

GROW 2010 is a three day technology conference that will bring together leading entrepreneurs, thinkers, influencers and investors from Silicon Valley and Canada to inspire innovation and entrepreneurship.

Event organizer Dealmaker Media announced the GROW Conference Day 3 Challenge activities today and there is something for everyone.

August 21st is an open day for attendees to experience the best of outdoor adventure in Vancouver with local insiders as their hosts. Here is the menu GROW Conference attendees have to choose from:

GROUSE GRIND + LUNCH AT THE TOP - Hike the 900 metre vertical Grouse Grind then take the tram down. Hosted by David Orchard, VP Engineering, Aygogo Games

ROAD BIKE RIDE + LUNCH - 70 to 100 km (44 to 63 miles) road bike ride around Vancouver and surrounding areas, enjoying the sites of the city but with intent on having a great cardio bike ride as well. Hosted by Bart Copeland, President & CEO, ActiveState.

KAYAKING FALSE CREEK & ENGLISH BAY + LUNCH - Kayak from Vancouver’s famous Granville Island through False Creek’s marinas and out to Kitsilano Beach. Hosted by Ian Bell, Founder & CEO, AppSocial Media, Inc.

KITE BOARDING IN SQUAMISH - If you are a beginner itching to try kiting or an advanced rider up for some racing, freestyle, or free riding, Squamish promises a day of sun, consistent wind, skilled instructors, and friendly Canadian kiters. Hosted by Mark Cunningham, CEO, Indicee.

DOWNHILL MOUNTAIN BIKING IN WHISTLER - Challenge your skills on a big mountain adventure at Whistler Mountain Bike Park. The park has something for every level of rider. Gentle, banked cruisers through the Coastal forest. Hosted by Dean Prelazzi, Director, ICT, Wireless and New Media, BCIC.

CRAB DIVING + LUNCH ON THE BEACH - Forage your own lunch as you free dive for crabs off the Vancouver Coastline. After the dive, enjoy the freshest crab ever as you BBQ your catch on the beach. Hosted by James Sherrett, Founder & CEO, AdHack.
