Infamous hacker group Anonymous is clearly sided with the Occupy Movement.

With the City of Toronto planning to evict the Occupy Toronto camp, Anonymous has threatened to have the City "removed from the Internet" should it execute on its plan.

In a video that has since been removed from YouTube, Anonymous said, “The brave citizens of Toronto are peaceful and well mannered occupiers, and we will not let the city  get involved."

Regardless, Toronto says it will continue to push ahead with plans. Meanwhile, the City of Saskatoon is also preparing an eviction and Vancouver as well is eagerly looking at options to remove its own tent city, with Victoria already issuing eviction notices.

Since 2008, Anonymous has launched denial of service attacks (not technically "hacking") against Visa, PayPal, the Israeli government, and the San Francisco mass transit system, among others. However, they have also been known to make threats and not follow through.
