TitanfileSince opening it’s [digital] doors in March of 2011, co-founders Milan Vrekic and Tony Abou-Assaleh have turned TitanFile into a company with 10 employees and over 1000 clients.  TitanFile are a file-sharing company, specializing in document-security by encrypting the data.

Describing itself as a pioneer in online secure cloud computing, the new satellite-office, based in Kitchener-Waterloo, ON, was chosen due to the large tech-sector talent pool, including those recently laid off by Research in Motion.

“We’re excited by the new opportunities Ontario will offer us,” said co-founder Milan Vrekic, “expanding into a larger market and finding the right people to join our team will help us move forward and into international markets”.

According to Milan, TitanFile have also seen an increased demand from U.S. academic clients, including Duke, Florida, and Emory universities.  As a result, TitanFile plan to open a Silicon Valley office in March 2012, opening the company up to new client opportunities in the U.S.
