Today is Twitter's sixth birthday. The real-time information network started on March 21, 2006, when founder Jack Dorsey was "just setting up my twttr"—the first ever tweet. Now, the microblogging platform sees nearly 200 million unique visitors per month and 3,000 tweets per second.
Twitter has been the spark to same crazy virality recently, such as #ProjectKris, which saw nearly one million people worldwide RSVP for a 60-person house party in Calgary. Twitter also launched a recruiting video this year that was so bad it was good. And Techvibes took a loot at what it takes to be a part of Twitter's One Percent.
