CLOSED: The 2012 Techvibes Holiday Giveaway: Day Three

Posted by Rob Lewis

The holidays are about giving. And we are honouring this tradition in grand fashion.

Welcome to the 2012 Techvibes Holiday Giveaway, powered by Best Buy. Our third-annual holiday giveaway, which will see us give away a total of seven prizes, is our most flexible yet: instead of awarding specific products as prizes, winners will receive Best Buy gift cards to buy absolutely anything they want. And for the less creative among us, we'll be inspiring potential winners with ideas through our Best Buy Holiday Gift Guide, which will suggest products within the price range of each gift card we hand out.

DAY THREE IS WORTH...

Behind door number three is a $800 gift card from Best Buy. Awesome!

WHAT YOU SHOULD SPEND IT ON

We have our eyes on this ASUS S Series ultrabook for $799.

The ASUS S56 series ultrabook may be ultra thin and light, but it delivers ultra high performance. The Intel Core i7 processor and 6GB DDR3 SDRAM enable it to run multiple intensive programs. And the hybrid hard drive gives you 750GB of storage space for your HD content while the 24GB SSD offers faster boot up and load times.

Pre-loaded with Windows 8, this operating system is completely reimagined and keeps you connected to your favourite people, websites, and more right from your Start screen.

HOW TO WIN IT

So, you want this gift card, eh? Well, guess what pal—so does everybody else.

For your shot at victory, you've got to enter our giveaway. Fortunately, we've made entering super simple this year. Just follow this one easy step:

1. Comment on this article, telling us who and what you'd spend your winnings on. An iPad Mini for yourself? An HD television for a friend? A home theatre system for your technology-loving dog, Berkley? (Okay, we know that one's secretly for you too.)

Totally simple, right? Oh, and we'd love it if you also followed Techvibes and Best Buy on Twitter, but it's not a requirement for the giveaway. (Though we know a few well-connected elves in the North Pole, so it may bump you up on Santa's Nice list.)

THE FINE PRINT

No purchase required.  Contest closes December 9, 2012 at midnight Pacific Standard Time. There are a total of 7 prizes available to be won (one prize per giveaway article). Open to Canadian residents excluding residents of Quebec. Odds of winning depend on number of eligible entries received before contest closes. Limit one entry per giveaway per person (up to seven entries in total). Maximum of one prize awarded per person.

Come back tomorrow for another great prize to be won.
