CLOSED: The 2012 Techvibes Holiday Giveaway: Day Seven

Posted by Knowlton Thomas

NOTE: This is the final giveaway. However, you still have all weekend to enter all 7 giveaways. See below.

The holidays are about giving. And we are honouring this tradition in grand fashion.

Welcome to the 2012 Techvibes Holiday Giveaway, powered by Best Buy. Our third-annual holiday giveaway, which will see us give away a total of seven prizes, is our most flexible yet: instead of awarding specific products as prizes, winners will receive Best Buy gift cards to buy absolutely anything they want. And for the less creative among us, we'll be inspiring potential winners with ideas through our Best Buy Holiday Gift Guide, which will suggest products within the price range of each gift card we hand out.

DAY SEVEN IS WORTH...

Behind door number six is a $900 gift card from Best Buy. Now that is just freakin' awesome, dude.

WHAT YOU SHOULD SPEND IT ON

Do you like music or television or movies? Forget that—if you have ears, you'll want this Boston Acoustics Classic 5.0 Speaker Package, currently on sale for $499. It's a solid surround sound entertainment system with 150 watts of power and soft dome tweeters for a reasonable price.

With your spare change, why not pick up an all-new iPad Mini? Available in black or white, this adorably compact iPad is arguably the best way to experience what iOS has to offer. Which, by the way, is a lot. Starts at $329.

HOW TO WIN IT

So, you want this gift card, eh? Well, guess what pal—so does everybody else.

For your shot at victory, you've got to enter our giveaway. Fortunately, we've made entering super simple this year. Just follow this one easy step:

1. Comment on this article, telling us who and what you'd spend your winnings on. An iPad Mini for yourself? An HD television for a friend? A home theatre system for your technology-loving dog, Berkley? (Okay, we know that one's secretly for you too.)

Totally simple, right? Oh, and we'd love it if you also followed Techvibes and Best Buy on Twitter, but it's not a requirement for the giveaway. (Though we know a few well-connected elves in the North Pole, so it may bump you up on Santa's Nice list.)

THE FINE PRINT

No purchase required.  Contest closes December 9, 2012 at midnight Pacific Standard Time. There are a total of 7 prizes available to be won (one prize per giveaway article). Open to Canadian residents excluding residents of Quebec. Odds of winning depend on number of eligible entries received before contest closes. Limit one entry per giveaway per person (up to seven entries in total). Maximum of one prize awarded per person.
