HomeSav.com launches Daily Deal site for luxury home décor in Toronto
One month ago Techvibes reported that Toronto's HomeSav.com had raised $1.2 million from angel investors to grow its flash sales website focused on luxury home furnishings and décor.
Investors included the Koffler family, founders of Shopper's Drug Mart, and the Metrick family, founders and owners of ELTE, Canada's largest high end home furniture retailer.
Today HomeSav.com announced it is launching a daily deals site called HomeSav Local. The first stop in their multi-city HomeSav Local initiative is Toronto and it launches on October 31st.
Unlike traditional daily deals websites that offer a non-targeted array of local goods and services ranging from manicures to muay thai, HomeSav Local will focus specifically on offers related to the home space, a tack that led them to early success as a flash sales website.
HomeSav Local promises to provide reduced prices on services ranging from roofing, carpeting, window treatments, electricians, interior designers and discounts to brand name luxury retailers.
In addition to Toronto, HomeSav Local will be expanding to multiple cities throughout North America in the coming months. According to their press release today HomeSav.com is the first Canadian website to focus on home-related daily deals.
HomeSav.com was founded in 2010 by Alexander Norman, Aliza Pulver and Allan Fisch.
