HootSuite Acquires uberVU To Bolster Analytics Offering

Posted by Techvibes NewsDesk

In August Techvibes reported that HootSuite was headed down the acquisition path with upwards of $100 million set aside in treasury.

This morning HootSuite announced it has acquired uberVU, an innovative social analytics solution.

Not surprisingly, financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

uberVU’s roster of more than 200 enterprise customers include 3M, NBC, Heinz, Fujitsu, SC Johnson, Getty Images, indiegogo, and L’Occitane. In uberVU, HootSuite gains a best-in-class analytics product and a dedicated team of world-class engineers.

HootSuite and uberVU combine the next generation of social analytics with the power of the world’s leading social relationship platform to help organizations understand the value of their social relationships and drive more meaning from the conversations happening on social media.

According to today's press release, this acquisition accelerates HootSuite’s analytics roadmap for HootSuite Enterprise customers, which today make up over 75% of the Fortune 1000 companies.

HootSuite recently celebrated its 5th birthday and earlier this week won Techvibes' Employer of the Year award for 2013.
