How Low Can You Go? Introducing the Biggest BlackBerry PlayBook Discount Ever

After a quarter of embarrassing sales, RIM's BlackBerry PlayBook has gone through many sales across numerous retail outlets (follow the seemingly endless link trail). Its price tag has dropped as low as $299 on several occasions—a steep $200 discount.

Now it looks like Staples it stepping up the sale frenzy even further with the device's sharpest price drop ever—a full $300 discount, or more than half-off the original price of the 16GB model.

Indeed, TechCrunch first reported on a leaked ad that reveals the PlayBook will sell for a mere $199 on Black Friday. The in-store-only deal may or may not apply to Canada—Black Friday is more an American tradition, yet RIM is Canadian and we've been included in all the $299 deals—but we won't know for certain until the ad is released officially.
