How to Be Famous on the Internet: Online Marketing for Bloggers

Posted by Victoria Revay on Mon, May 25, 2009 11:32 AM · Filed under Toronto , Startups, Social Media · Comments

Some people argue that nowdays, if you're online and writing anything, if it's over a 140 words it has little value.  But there are still many people who choose to communicate in complete thoughts. So if you're one of those people (or just want to check out a couple of cool bloggers), you can at the next Toronto blogger meetup.  What will you learn? From basic Google Page ranks to essential blog widgets, to optimizing YouTube videos and monitoring page views, it'll all be covered.  Raymi Lauren, the diva behind RaymiTheMinx.com, will be there for a meet-and-greet.   She has more than 4000 daily readers and is a celebrity in her own right on the Toronto party-scene. How did this all happen to her?

Raymi explains how she uses YouTube, Flickr, Facebook and Twitter, very differently than you and I, and describes exactly how her blog has evolved into the powerful web media presence that it has become today. It’s worth the price of admission just to get a peek at her daily process – she will live blog the event!

Christa Jean, the founder of PetiteFashionista.com will also make an appearance.

Petite Fashionista is a daily blog, reporting the latest from the world of petite fashion. In a short period of time, Petite Fashionista has mushroomed into a must read daily bible for fashionable society. Christa Jean will speak on how she builds and tracks readership, how her business model accommodates sponsors, and how she sells her own products and services.

Date: May 27, 2009 Location: The Spoke Club, 600 King Street W. 4th Floor
