Companies like Google, Facebook, and Apple impact our world profoundly. And what drives a lot of their innovation our top minds—talented engineers like Mark Zuckerberg and Steve Jobs who see what others can't and who possess the rare ability to execute on their visions.

According to Wally from Scott Adams' comic Dilbert, 1% of engineers create "all of the industry-changing products." While meant to be funny, it rings true—the products that truly disrupt are few and far between.

But what to do with the other 99% of engineers? Wally proposes that they are all replaced with robotic arms that hold coffee cups.
