HTCE goes out on a high note: Social Media Meets B2B

After almost a 9 year run, the High Tech Communicators Exchange will hold its last event on Monday, November 16th and they're going out on a high note.

For their last hurrah they've invited back social media gurus Julie Szabo and Darren Barefoot of Capulet Communications to present Social Media Meets B2B: Stoireis from the Frontlines and stepped it up with a new venue.

You've heard how the Canadian Cancer Association raised thousands in donations on Facebook and how Zappos revolutionized customer service with Twitter. But can a B2B company really use social media to grow its business and customer base?

Darren Barefoot and Julie Szabo of Capulet Communications present real-world examples of how social media can make a difference for B2B businesses. Be inspired by some of the best B2B social media campaigns of the year as we explore the impact of social media marketing for B2B companies.

The final HTCE event takes place on Monday, November 16th at 5:30pm at the Opus Hotel in Yaletown. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door - RSVP to rsvp@htce.org is you'd like to attend.

The HTCE was founded by Catherine Ducharme in March of 2001. Having worked in the high-tech industry for more than 20 years, Catherine observed that high-tech communications professionals often work in isolation. Catherine set out to create an informal professional forum to bring communications practitioners together to get to know one another, learn from each other, share common interests and experiences and mentor one another.

Neena Rahemtulla took over leadership of the group in January 2009 and it is currently 500 members strong.
