"Speed presenting," is coming to Ottawa November 12th when the city's first Ignite show takes place at the Velvet Room.
The O'Reilly Media series challenges speakers to present their topic to the audience in five minutes using 20 slides that must advanced every 15 seconds.
Past talks have included "The Best Way to Buy a Car" and "Hacking Chocolate."
The Ottawa Ignite starts 6:00 p.m. with presentations beginning at 7:00 p.m.
There will be an intermission and at the end of the night, the best presentation will be chosen through "the extremely scientific means of loud clapping."
Admission is free but the organizations request that anyone planning to attend register on EventBrite.
