What do you do first in the morning? Take a shower, go for a jog or brew coffee? For 84% of smartphone owners, that routine consists of using an app—whether for checking the weather, social media, or the news.
Calgary's POSH View is hoping to make that time in the morning a little more efficient and has launched what may be the highest priced crowfunded product on Kickstarter in Canada to do it.
The iMirror will cost early supporters $2,750 with the price climbing to $3,750 per unit as they approach their $200,000 campaign goal.
The iMirror is a "simple to use interactive mirror that only needs internet access to change your mornings forever". Whether it's touch, gesture, or voice commands, the iMirror promises to be the "best way to get ready for the day".
POSH View is raising funds via Kickstarter to complete the professional engineering needed to meet regulations, allow for mass production, and secure their manufacturing partner.
And if all goes well POSH View plans on having the iMirror in your favorite technology stores, ready for you to take out of the box, plug in, connect to wifi and you're ready to multitask while shaving, doing your hair, or whatever you do in front of a mirror. Check it out below:
Earlier this month Techvibes reported that $3.2 million was pledged on kickstarter to just over 300 projects from Canada-based creators during the first month. The money came from 47,000 unique backers around the world (only 22% of backers were Canadian) and Kickstarter noted that these numbers mean more than $75 each minute.
At this rate maybe POSH View's pricetag won't be an issue.
