Victoria, BC born Indochino announced late yesterday that it has received an investment from Burda Digital Ventures - the venture capital arm of one of Germany’s largest media companies. Indochino provides custom tailored men’s suits delivered direct to your door within two weeks. From their new office in Shanghai, Indochino CEO Kyle Vucko reported that the company plans to use this round of financing to build up operations and scale to meet growing demand. Vancouver Internet entrepreneur and investor Boris Wertz was an early backer of Indochino and introduced the company to Burda Digital Ventures. Burda plans to expand its investment activities in the Pacific North West and Alberta by focusing on Consumer Internet opportunities. Current investments include Vancouver's Suite101.com, Edmonton's Nexopia, and Victoria's AbeBooks & TeamPages. Indochino is #12 on April's Victoria Start-Up Index. Disclosure: Boris Wertz is a Director of Techvibes Media Inc.
