Industry Mailout Relaunches with New Name, New Interface

Internet marketing firm Internet Mailout has cleaned up its brand, relaunching as Mailout.com with a new interface.

According to Gregg Oldring, who founded the company in 2001, he almost had the shorter domain back then. But sleeping on the $15 purchase for just one night cost him the domain.

“Next morning, I woke up, felt totally committed to the name and it was gone,” he recalls. “A company in Australia had bought it.”

The Edmonton-based company, now 14 years old, says the new name better reflects its diverse company bank, which includes governments, universities, and nonprofits.

“Our name may have changed, but we remain steadfastly committed to being your email marketing tool of choice,” Oldring says. “Because your newsletter should be exactly how you want it to be—visually appealing, easy to read, a breeze to navigate—while also providing meaningful information to your audience.”
