Industry Minister Tony Clement to speak at Canada 3.0 2011

Industry Minister Tony Clement will be the keynote speaker for this year's Canada 3.0 digital media forum hosted by the Canadian Digital Media Network. This year's event has a distinct focus on industry and will examine how ICT can advance Canada's productivity.
"Our government has a clear vision of how Canada can successfully engage in the digital economy," said Minister Clement. "Canada 3.0 brings together e
veryone from grassroots entrepreneurs, to industry leaders, academia, and government. It is the ideal platform to be talking about how best to position Canada for success in the digital future."
“Our ‘Moonshot’ goal for Canada – that anyone can do anything online in Canada by 2017 – is what drives the discussion and action items resulting from the event,” said Kevin Tuer, Managing Director of the CDMN.
The event takes place from May 2nd to the 4th, and includes many notable speakers, including Kunal Gupta, the CEO of Polar Mobile, and Anthony D. Williams, the co-author of such books as Wikinomics and MacroWikinomics. In total, there will be more than 100 speakers and panelists in addition to interactive discussions regarding the latest in digital media.
”Every year the conversation is renewed and revitalized with connections that make for lasting relationships amongst digital startups and established companies, across sectors and up and down the influence chain,” adds Kevin.

The event will be located in the Stratford Rotary Complex—that's 353 McCarthy Road in Stratford.
For anyone interested in Canada's digital media space, this is one event you won't want to miss.
