Innovate Calgary to sponsor Calgary Startup Index

Techvibes is excited to announce that starting this month Innovate Calgary will be the new sponsor of the Calgary Startup Index.

Innovate Calgary, the merging of Calgary Technologies Inc. and University Technologies International, takes tech to business by delivering technology transfer and business incubator programs and services to researchers, entrepreneurs and businesses.

Startups are ranked using the 'Techvibes Traffic Rank' - currently an average of Alexa and Compete rankings, two leading web traffic data sites. Neither Alexa or Compete's numbers are perfect; however interesting trends emerge over time allowing readers to compare different websites on a level playing field as we update monthly.

To be eligible for the Startup Indexes, your company must meet the following criteria:

  • Be located within Metro Area of the city in question
  • Be a tech company - either hardware, software, web application/service or mobile
  • Not be a publically-traded company

Stay tuned for the Innovate Calgary Startup Index for July 2011 which will be published later this morning.

If you're interested in being included in the August Startup Indexes, add your company to the Techvibes Directory and send us an email letting us know.
