A message from Danny Robinson, CEO, BCIC
In August, GrowLab, a Silicon Valley-style accelerator program, is opening its doors in Vancouver. Founded by Boris Wertz of W Media Ventures, Debbie Landa of Dealmaker Media and Vancouver's GROW Conference, Jason Bailey of AdKnowledge and Leonard Brody of Clarity Digital (also CONNECT’s 2009 keynote), entrepreneurs lucky enough to secure space inside this “startup boot camp” will receive up to $25,000 in seed funding, four months of mentorship, free office space and the opportunity to pitch investors at the end of the program for more funding. In addition to the $25,000 in seed funding, GrowLab has partnered with BDC to offer each successful graduate company from the program up to $150,000 in follow-on funding.
Oh yeah, GrowLab portfolio companies will also get to spend the fourth month in San Francisco… Sound amazing?
GrowLab is now accepting applications for its Fall Program. The submission deadline is June 15th and five companies will be chosen for the first cohort beginning August 15th. Apply now.
