Invoke adds a 5th Coach to The Voice Singing Competition

Vancouver's Invoke Media announced today that they have been selected by NBC to help power the interactive marketing strategies for the television series The Voice.

Invoke has built a Facebook application called The 5th Coach Game that should suck fans even deeper into the singing competition show. The app lets fans to create their own virtual team, essentially becoming the fifth coach. The application provides interactivity, social game mechanics, community sharing and features exclusive content, weekly prizes, and a sweepstakes contest.

"For season one, ‘The Voice’ established itself as a thought-leader amongst the multitude of singing competitions by integrating social media directly into the show. The 5th Coach Game takes this one step further by involving their fans in the process,” said Dario Meli, co-CEO of Invoke and co-founder of HootSuite. "The 5th Coach Game was developed to engage fans on a completely different level. It is like the Fantasy Sports League for singing competitions minus the taunting and ridicule from your friends if you lose, but we can’t guarantee that.”

Invoke was also selected to build applications for NBC’s ”Awake” and the recently announced “Ready for Love” television shows.
